We had just replaced some shutoff valves and a faucet at a residence.  About an hour later we were sent back to the same home due to a pinkish weird colored water in the home.  At first, I won’t lie I thought great here it comes a customer who wants something for free! 

But we showed up and filled up a glass and sure enough, they had pinkish water with little bits of sediment.  After checking for any signs of problematic areas including hoses, water heater, and anything possible it left us baffled.  We were scratching our heads and so we decided to drive around the block and see if the city might be doing some maintenance on the main water lines.  We drove around the block several times that’s when my partner said this is a longshot and you’re probably going to think I am crazy but there is a funeral home we continue to pass.  We both fell silent……  I don’t think either of us wanted to believe that this could possibly have anything to do with this customers water supply.

Funeral Home Advertising – A True Horror Story

At first, I thought he was messing with me because he knew I didn’t like these types of places.  But he kept tapping and I couldn’t make out a word he was saying he was barely making sense.  Then he kept pointing as I looked at what he was pointing at it was a cadaver on the table and at this point, I knew he was messing with me! 

But after looking closer the line that is supposed to pump the blood out was actually pumping blood back into the water supply.  We both turned white as we showed the funeral director he reacted like I had been the whole time we had been there.  We contacted the city and all the proper people (let’s just say it didn’t turn out so well for this particular funeral home) the worst part was explaining the situation to the customer.  Turns out there is such thing as bad advertising!
