First of all, it is important to get a website listed in Google to do this you need to install Search Console. If you find this too difficult, you will need to find a company or person who can install it for you. After it’s installed you will need to crawl each page or alternatively you can create a sitemap and submit that through Search Console. This is something that should have already been done way before reading this article about SEO tips 2021 unless of course, you have a brand new website.

Another common issue that we see frequently which should be embarrassing to whoever did it. We see the website is set to no-index inside WordPress and other platforms. Ensure your site isn’t set to no-index which you should get a warning or notification from Search Console if you try to index a no-index tagged site. This is one of many reasons Search Console is important.
Header Tags
There are lots of ways to structure your header tags but the easiest way to help most business owners understand the way this should be set up is H1 should be the most important header (Primary Focus). Your H2 should be your secondary focus so if you were to write an article about “Brushing Your Teeth” primary focus is brushing your teeth, the secondary focus could be “Tooth Paste”. H3 should be less important headers such as “toothbrush brands”.
Schema
Some SEO agencies will argue that Schema is a huge ranking factor and they are right and wrong. Because Google can rank websites without it, personally I treat Schema like a car. You bought the base model and Schema is upgrading like the sunroof, turbo, or heated seats. If you are a local business it’s good for you to put in your location, address, and phone number to name a few things that help Google understand what your business is about. Other things Schema can do is add stars in the results, pictures, and rich snippets (links under your listing).
Why Are Links So Confusing?
Another common thing we wanted to touch base on in our SEO tips 2021, is links. Why? Because they are important! Some companies do not obtain links, remember content is king? While this is true and can work, you have to ask yourself are you willing to wait and hope that people link to your content? If you are brand new this method can take years to accomplish. So how do you obtain links? Well, some people buy them, which is a Google “no, no”. Others use what is called a PBN which is basically a bunch of websites they own and post blogs on and link them all together to make it appear is your website is popular. This method is hmmm debatable but most of the time is safe for now. The best is outreach which you can reach out to websites that are aligned with your business and find out how to obtain a link, some of them are going to want payment and honestly, lots of SEO companies will pay, this doesn’t mean Google is going to come down with the hammer and destroy you. Technically any outreach for a link isn’t allowed, so either you wait for years or find the safest method which anyone ranking at least 95% of them has reached out for links.
